Question:    Is Java or Flash better for Online Poker software?

Answer:    Back in the old days (circa 1998), you had to download a program application if you wanted to gamble at an online casino. But casino operators soon discovered that some people didn't like waiting to download a big file, and others weren't comfortable installing the poker software on their computers. So the operators developed "instant-play" casinos using Java and Flash technology. I've gambled at both Java and Flash casinos and, frankly, I don't find any drastic difference between the two, except that Flash graphics look a little slicker, especially on slots. The new Crypto Logic Java games at InterCasino and The Sands are excellent. So are the Microgaming Flash games at RiverBelle and Colosseum Casino. You can choose according to your liking. Personally, but I prefer downloadable casino applications to Java or Flash. The games seem to run smoothly and I can play faster.
