Question:    What are the odds of catching a full house in 7-card stud?

Answer:    Catching a full house in 7-card stud largely depends on how you start. If you start with three of a kind, your chances of winning are pretty good. If you start with a pair, then also, the chances are quite satisfying and if you start with three random cards, then your chances are not at all good in the 7-card stud. For getting a shot at the full house, you have to get to the seventh street (river card). For this, you need to be in hand for four rounds of betting, during each of which, you will have an opportunity to see a few of your opponent’s cards. You should note which cards are out that could help improve poker hand, be it to improve to a pair, two pair, straight, flush, or whatever else.
