Question:    What is Mississippi Stud?

Answer:    Mississippi Stud is a card game similar to seven-card stud. It is more suited to half-pot, pot-limit and no-limit betting than seven-card stud. In Mississippi Stud, the starting cards are dealt in the same way as in the conventional seven-card stud: two-down, one-up; then each active player is dealt two more up cards, then a fourth up card and then a fifth up card. Thus, the cards dealt in Mississippi Stud are in a 3-2-1-1, instead of 3-1-1-1 sequence. It has a four round structure and, in it, only two cards out of seven are concealed. This game is faster and more active than the seven-card stud, which makes it popular as an online poker game.
